Political upheaval, anarchy, and civil unrest.  In a world rife with social division amongst its citizens, it is worth noting that today, while campaign corruption and oil-price fixing abound, SCARA McNAMARA has already become a painter of international stature.  Like Zorba the Greek and Meryl Streep who came before, SCARA has spun circles around the globe deploying art-operations that transcend political party lines, racial backgrounds,

genders and social classes. (as well as Swedish riot police and Sacramento food vendors) SCARA, the world traveler has seen the Vines of Redwood and the Malls of Rosewood.  While carrying over continents and witnessing the modification of society (by means of forward time-travel) SCARA permeated Belgium and released "Maybelle" pervaded Portugal and left it shocked by "Masquerade" ascended these and other Nation States and painted "Angela, Carol and Rebecca."  SCARA premiered on World Television and stupefied with the infamous "Lost Art/Dead Art" diptych.  Laser-blasted Okinawa and came home on the 100 yard "U.S.S Pearl".  And still has only begun the march to the World Championship.

In the spring of 1978 (wow, has it really been that long?)  SCARA escaped into Waädsten, to Likhtaryk Studio to paint for the Queen of England.  The rock papers went completely bananas, as well as SCARA, almost.

"I felt an underlying tension of some mysterious entity spying on me at all times."  But "Masquerade" was steadily rising up the top 100 with SCARA impervious to such scandalous wheelings and dealings.  Now fleeing to Prague, it was time to plan the first art exhibit to be held in the middle of the North Sea, atop an underwater mountain, while holding court with art critics and giving the denim-heads of  the local diehard post-punk industrial thrash metal scene a refresher course on how to engage their subjects.   In Poland, SCARA once inhabited the famed Hala Ludowa, a beautifully quaint

auditorium that has accommodated a host of rising art stars. SCARA, now emotionally hurt by the "rüden" words of one Swiss comedian, not content to give up on Madrid, Spain just to spend the whole residency in the room at the Hotel Mediodia, instead went out on the streets, hypnotized by the Madrid dance clubs and Madrid night creatures.  "I was enthralled," with a squeaky smile, causing SCARA's feet to convulse in the swaying water-vessel beneath.  "Just cannot wait to get back there."  Thüringer Schreinerfest,  SCARA's

emboldening East German event, was mesmerizing.  The venue, SCARA would later say, would be remembered fondly.  "There were horseback rides and sleigh rides and water rockets." Tickets began selling as SCARA took the stage.  Doors remained unopened.  How would SCARA fare against merry-go-rounds and Fraüjen Glädjvürst?  "It was all so European.  11,750 Swedes filled the Expo, which almost tied the previous best attendance set by Bobby Flip and the Flip Phones."

"Some of the patrons became dizzy and collapsed."  SCARA laughed maniacally, appearing genuinely satisfied.  "It was pandemonium.  SCARA pandemonium!  It was like a segment taken directly from a Russ Meyer film.  SCARA is screeching with tears running down.  I view from the level above.  SCARA is "riding that golfkart for a cruise!"

"Wait a minute Boris," SCARA yells to a nearby henchman.  SCARA's agile physique adjusting to the atmospheric diving suit.  Under a giant metal helmet SCARA reflects on the American "Un Conscious Ness" Tour of summer '77.  the "Maybelle" Tour of 1976,

the final winter visits to Canada.  The successes of "I Love You Olives," "Cat Study" and SCARA'S two splash hits "Kewpie Doll" and "Neutralism."  The Paul Sanders Show, a special 11 O'Clock Happening in New Jersey and more and more special art events.

"Who else shows at Zürich and Dublin within the same week?"  SCARA queries.  "Many of these towns don't even have a single häststolpe, much less a kolfenplatz, I'm not bothered"

At the time of painting "Angela, Rebecca and Carol", winter 1978, SCARA remained water-tight, but cognizant of the frenzy that was generated, the SCARA hysteria of rabid fanatics

(for the purposes of this writing, SCARA has a well-known bona fide fanbase) to attain status as THE singular painter not since the fab-ulous Liverpudlians you often find on the pop charts.

"When I was a kid I remember reading "Charlotte's Web" and thinking that it was a pretty good book.
Looking back, I think it has some major issues and is slightly absurd.
Not only has this ordinary garden spider somehow gained the ability to communicate in English by constructing words into the very fabric of its web, but it is also considerate enough to assess the current situation and contribute concise one or two-word

phrases which perfectly summarize any given crisis in its proximity and effectively save the day.   First of all, where does a spider even begin to learn written language?  How does it know about letters and spelling and possess a somewhat well-rounded vocabulary, something that the average human does not acheive without several years of study and practice?
How does a mere spider, with its limited kaleidoscopic vision, and lack of any psychological or ethical principles, observe and interpret dramatic events nearby and formulate the ideal solutions by way of perfectly-crafted phrases?
This super-intelligent spider, with its amazing wit, timing and diplomacy, would likely need to be studied by scientists who would then be awarded the Nobel Prize."

After a lengthy pause, SCARA concludes:  "I guess considering the fact that every other animal character in the story is also anthropomorphic (and somewhat intelligent) I shouldn't be overly judgmental."

Indeed. As we all should not. Back in Kyoto, a couple thousand frenzied individuals clamor for attention as SCARA wows the excited crowd. Japan is known for its nightlife just as well as its sushi, and on this excursion SCARA indulges in both. "The sushi is exceptional, as is the nightlife."
An accomplished dancer, SCARA is no slouch in the food department, either, as the limousine  pulls up to a favorite ramen palace. "If you want the best, you gotta try each and every one."
Does SCARA cook? What are some favorite dishes? "I like chicken and pork because they're almost impossible to fuck up unless you really overcook them."
Seems like SCARA's got it all figured out. "Actually, there's no part of the pig I've found that isn't delicious. I don't eat chicken and eggs on the same day because it goes against my beliefs. On Sundays I like to eat chicken noodle soup and watch Twin Peaks."

There you have it folks, and with that, SCARA once again climbs into the limo, which drives into the night.  At this particular moment, SCARA's ravenous desire is for loud rock and roll.  Off to see "Casualties of Ice" open up for "The Numlocks" at Taku Taku Brewery.  An old hangout.

"It is the light, which casts the shadow."

Well said, but as SCARA makes preparations  for the huge ground-breaking spectacle that is assuredly just around the corner, we are left wondering "What's next?"

"All ticket sales are final.  There will be no refunds."

As the lights go low, the anticipation mounts as we await something we have never seen before and doubtlessly will never forget.

Just as SCARA does not forget, because SCARA never quits.

SCARA!!!

"Also I think we need more ads for Geico."

"My leg hurts!"
